Coordinator: Andrés Nápoli Starting date: October 2003 Ending date: April 2004 The general objective of the project is to promote the development of the Access Principle in Argentina, by strengthening both institutional frameworks and the practices of public access to information, decision-making and justice on matters of environmental and sustainable development. The ultimate goal is to improve decisions and policies that affect the environment and human life by establishing common global practices for public access to information, participation and justice in environmental decision-making. In order to achieve this goal, the Initiative aims to promote the implementation of Principle 10 of the Rio Declaration and Chapters 23 and 40 of Agenda 21. To do so, FARN heads a partnership of civil society organizations, conformed by the Center for Human Rights and Environment (CEDHA) and the Asociación Marplatense de Estudios Ambientales Integrales (AMEAI), dedicated to the promotion of public participation and sustainable development in Argentina.
