Research and Training Area

Through this Area, FARN carries out awareness-raising activities, such as discussion workshops, conferences, or participation in spaces for the exchange of ideas and proposals with other governmental and non-governmental organizations. From these activities we generally obtain publications or written documents, which are then used as material for training or dissemination and as recommendations and/or policy proposals for public and private decision-makers.

All the Area's activities require constant research work, legislative revision, inter-disciplinary exchange, and meetings with the various different actors, especially on the issue of governance for sustainable development.

Thanks to the participation of the different actors involved, it is possible to stimulate dialogues which may contribute to the strengthening of existing institutions and the creation of the instruments resulting from consensus-building. FARN cooperates in different decision-making processes, and this requires exchange meetings, work teams, development projects on normative frameworks, and consultative councils of non-governmental organizations, among others.
