Research and Training Area
Training activities

The challenge of sustainability calls for new training opportunities for public and private decision-makers, both in our country and throughout Latin America. The training activities aim to satisfy needs in the thematic areas on which the Foundation is working. The courses are held jointly with universities or other training centers, or are organized and carried out independently by the Area.

Beneficiaries:
The training programs are designed with three kinds of beneficiaries in mind:

  • Leaders of state, entrepreneurial, scientific, non-governmental sectors, etc.
  • Trainers and teachers in educational institutions
  • Professionals with experience or interest in environmental matters

Training methodology:

Curricular planning:
The Research and Training Area offers educational programs based on contents previously planned and specially prepared for each course. Each curricular proposal is adapted after a revision among peers and intersectorial consultation with the interested institutions.

Teaching methodology:
Each course follows a participative methodology based on case studies and problem solving. The theoretical-practical courses require the reading and analysis of material that is distributed at the beginning of each course.
