About Ecolegis

The Ecolegis environmental legal access facility is the result of cooperation between the Fundación Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (FARN), of Argentina, and the Regional Environmental Center (REC) for Central and Eastern Europe, based in Hungary. This project was funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada, through the Sustainable Development Communications Network(SDCN).

This service includes access to the two bibliographic databases on environmental legislation owned by both organizations in their respective countries and regions. The FARN database also offers the complete text of several of the most relevant environmental regulations in Argentine legislation, while the REC offers related items such as draft legislation, inventories and legislative reviews. Both are updated on a permanent basis.

Access to other legal collections, such as environmental legislation from the European Union and the United States, and international environmental conventions and treaties, is also available.
